AKRON, Ohio — To assist boost student attendance, Akron Public Faculties have joined the Cleveland Browns Foundation’s “Get 2 College, Stay in the Match!” initiative.
The college board has approved a deal with Cleveland-primarily based Burges & Burges Strategists to use resources and resourced developed by the Browns as portion of the attendance campaign.
The “Get 2 University, Continue to be in the Video game!” statewide initiative released in August to join general public faculty districts with just about every other, together with condition and national industry experts, and to provide materials, tactics and evaluation resources to make improvements to attendance.
The Browns Basis established out to overcome absenteeism with the Cleveland Metropolitan University District in 2014, when the district’s absenteeism fee was 35.2%. In the 2018-2019 school yr, that price was 30.5%. Over the yrs, the system has involved donations of 8,000 outfits deals from Sneakers & Garments for Young ones, and 4,700 Browns tickets as an incentive for very good attendance.
