DENVER — Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was ruled out of Thursday night’s video game against the Denver Broncos just after suffering a correct knee damage in the second quarter.

Mahomes was hurt on a quarterback sneak on fourth down with just above nine minutes remaining in the initial half. As professional medical staff attended to him on the area, it appeared Mahomes’ knee was straightened and popped back into area.

A cart came onto the subject, apparently to acquire Mahomes for procedure. He was instead aided off the area by a couple of trainers. Players from equally teams arrived by to provide encouragement.

Mahomes, 24, quickly still left for the locker place, going for walks less than his own power but with a limp. He was in the X-ray space for only two minutes just before the Chiefs ruled him out, according to the Fox broadcast.

Veteran Matt Moore, who joined the Chiefs late in the preseason, replaced Mahomes.
