Daniel Jones, Ezekiel Elliott, Odell Beckham Jr. amid NFL’s make-or-split players in 2021

I know Wentz can be a star. We noticed it in 2017, when he was squarely in the MVP combine before tearing his ACL in Week 14. We observed it in 2019, when he carried a no-title getting corps to the playoffs by likely 4- against the division in December to make the playoffs. I know 2020 was circumstantial, but it would not matter what I know — it only issues what we see in 2021.

Certainly, I truly feel that Wentz had legit factors for failure final year, but there is no require to recap the excuses. Not after Wentz’s offseason relocation to a plum position in Indy, where he is reunited with Frank Reich, who was his offensive coordinator in that stellar ’17 campaign. The Colts supply the 28-yr-aged signal-caller with a wonderful, Quenton Nelson-led O-line. Wentz will be handing the ball off to Jonathan Taylor, who just rushed for 1,169 yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie. An additional 2020 rookie, Michael Pittman, flashed promising possible out broad, and T.Y. Hilton’s remaining set on a just one-yr offer. Not to mention, Matt Eberflus’ defense completed prime 10 in points and yards permitted.

Indy’s the sort of staff that could acquire the division, and then get a playoff recreation or two. This is that variety of roster. The pressure’s on for Wentz to supply the items. I imagine he will. (And he superior.)
